Today we said goodbye to our friend Tom Curtayne. Tom has been a stalwart of Killorgin RFC since the early 70’s. Over the years Tom has been a player, coach, referee, president, trustee and an ever-present supporter of the club. Many of us have memories of Tom of the side-lines, coaching or cheer on our teams (and giving out to the referee 😊). Tom coached hundreds of kids in the mid Kerry area, passing on his love of the game to the next generation, he truly was a pillar of Killorglin Rugby Club.

We would like to thank everyone who came today and took part in the guard of honour, to those who sent their sympathies and shared stories. We are all better people for having known Tom.

To the Curtayne family, we extend our sympathies in this very tough time, we want you to know Tom will always be in our hearts.
