🏉Seniors Match Report🏉 Killorglin played Killarney in Munster Junior League at Ballymalis on Sunday January 12th. Despite being blanketed in snow for most of the week the pitch was in good shape. Anthony Kelliher did a great job preparing pitch and the new pitch side advertising signs improve the look.
Killorglin kicked off and dominated possession but the first score went to Killarney with a try following a tap penalty. Killorglin were rewarded for pressure with a penalty well kicked by Luke O'Shea. However the good work was undone when Killarney scored under the posts. Killorglin responded and a second penalty left the half time score 6- 12.
The second half started in similar terms but once again Killarney scored to extend their lead. Killorglin secured a lineout in Killarney 22 and scored excellent try off a maul with touch down by Stephen Cotter. Shortly after Killorglin had won an attacking scrum but the ball was disrupted by Killarney and booted up to Killorglin 22. Calamity followed with penalty to Killarney and two yellow cards for Killorglin followed by fourth try for Killarney. Killorglin kept battling and were on attack for rest of game but scoreline remained 11- 26. Tough to take after a huge effort but there are so many positives to build on as we head to Bruff for Munster Junior Cup next Sunday.
