Killorglin traveled to Wilton to play Douglas/Carrigaline in a league match on Sunday December 1st. Any over confidence was soon dispelled with the home team scoring a converted try in first few minutes. Killorglin responded with a penalty by Luke O'Shea to narrow the gap. 10 minutes in Killorglin drove a Douglas scrum way back and from ensuing chaos Fionn O'Shea touched down near the touchline. A great conversion by Luke O'Shea saw the visitors into a short lived lead as Douglas/Carrigaline scored a penalty to level scores at 10 apiece. After 20 minutes Killorglin were awarded a try 5 metres out from which Rob Lynch barged his way over for 15 -10 lead. Tiarnan Clifford made a powerful straight burst on the half hour. Following his break, passes to right winger Darragh O'Shea saw him speed over under posts in great style. He repeated this 3 minutes later with another stunning try and from a poor start Killorglin had the bonus point fourth try. Unfortunately, this standard dropped and the only further score before half time was a penalty by home team to leave half time score at 29 -13 for Killorglin.
Ten minutes into second half a good pass by Mike Breen released Darragh O'Shea who surged forward towards the try line. A pass inside to Kevin Courtney in support saw a try under the posts with conversion by Luke O'Shea. Douglas/Carrigaline scored a try next following first Killorglin yellow card. Still with 14 players a strong phase of play by Killorglin saw Tiarnan Clifford make a burst on left wing before passing to Shane O'Neill in support for Killorglin's 6th try. Killorglin received a further two yellow cards and Douglas/Carrigaline 1 as game became scrappy and on full time home team scored their third try to leave final score at 43 - 27 to Killorglin.
