Killorglin senior team had their first outing on Saturday afternoon September 7th at Killarney RFC competing in the annual Moss Keane memorial cup. This ten a side competition had teams from Corca Dhuibhne, Tralee, Killorglin and Killarney. Delighted to have several players making their senior debuts including Daire O'Sullivan, Shane O'Neill, Josh Morell, Michael O'Shea and Alex Mansell. These new faces combined with some of the great stalwarts of Killorglin RFC including Andrew O'Reilly and Noel O'Malley plus returning players Seamus Doyle and Stephen Cotter proved a potent mixture. Killorglin won all three initial games. They then played Killarney in the final. Despite trailing 7-5 at half time a very strong second half saw Killorglin victorious by 24 -7. So the first silverware of the season and reward for commitment to preseason training. Thanks to Killarney for hosting an excellent tournament.
Next match is v Castleisland on Sunday 15th.
