Killorglin travelled to Bantry on Sunday in good conditions for a game of rugby. After a slow start, Killorglin piled on the pressure with a strong carry from Stephen Cotter who offloaded to Cian Corcoran, who beat two defenders to score in the corner. Bantry hit back with a penalty in front of the posts to leave it Killorglin 5 Bantry 3. Killorglin hit back straight away off the kick off with Jamie O'Leary powering through for our second try converted by Luke. Bantry tried hard to break our line but the defence stood strong. Killorglin got up the field again and off a line out and good play from the forwards, Jamie O'Leary burst over for his second try converted by Luke O'Shea.
Bantry kicked another penalty to leave the half-time score Killorglin 19 Bantry 6.
Killorglin started the second half strong and were rewarded off a penalty with Jamie O'Leary going over for his third try converted by Luke O'Shea. Bantry hit back with Killorglin down to 13 men with a try in the corner. They came at us again, but with some great defence from Jerry McCarthy and Ronan O'Connor we kept them at bay.
Killorglin got up the field with some great play from backs and forwards, Cian Corcoran showed up on the wing again to go over for his second try.
A good day on the road with a bonus point at games end.
