Last week saw the end to our 2020/2021 season, it was definitely a strange one! Even with the lack of rugby played it was great to see so many new faces giving rugby a try.
A few weeks back we held our AGM where we elected new committee members, our committee for the 2021/2022 season is as follows:
· President – Andrew Eadie
· Vice President – Shane O’Sullivan
· Secretary – Viv O’Callaghan
· Director of Rugby – Dave Coffey
· Treasurer – Brian O’Shea
· Facilities Director – Leslie West
· PRO – Katie Graham
We would like to thank Colm Conway, our outgoing president and Breda O’Sullivan our outgoing Secretary for all their hard work over the past few seasons.
As we look towards the 2021/2022 our new club president Andrew Eadie has a few words to share:
“Just to say that I am honoured to be elected President of Killorglin RFC. Having been involved for 15 years from mini rugby to youths and now the senior team it is a part of my life that gives me great enjoyment. Our playing numbers continue to rise. To support this we are looking for more coaches, back up support and particularly on match days we need many more to help with the 101 tasks to make everything run smoothly. Every volunteer will be warmly welcomed and in case of new coaches given training and support as they start in this role. I am looking forward to us all working together to grow our club keeping our players at the centre of our efforts.”
Our club is made up of so many moving parts it would not be possible without our wonderful coaches who volunteer their time to help our players grow and develop, to our players who give it their all for Killorglin RFC, to the parents who support our players, and to our many sponsors, including the club’s main sponsor Topline Boyles for their ongoing support.
We look forward to next season and getting back out on the pitch!
